The Michell family has been intertwined with the alpaca industry since the early 1920s. Nevertheless, it wasn't until 1931 that Mr. Frank W. Michell founded Michell & Co. in Arequipa, initially setting foot in the industry as an alpaca fibre grader and exporter.
